The reason why all pages have to be included is for transparency. They want to know where the person has traveled. Eg red flags would be if the person has been traveling back and forth between certain countries like Afghanistan, North Korea etc. If one does NOT include all pages then how can...

    Parents Sponsorship- Lost Job

Sorry about your job loss. Yes as with many likely covid19 was the factor. Hence IRCC is correct to lower the LICO requirement for 2020. However going forward I don't know if it is sustainable to keep such a low figure for 2021 and possible the years ahead? The economic impact of covid19 is...

    Parents Sponsorship- Lost Job

Yes it could be a problem. In fact if not for covid19 it will definitely be a problem. Covid19 however is used as the reason for many as to why they lost their jobs. Now I am sure many lost their jobs due to the economic impact of covid19 but it would be incorrect to say that all job losses in...

Good question. Another question of course is whether 2021 income requirements will also be significantly lower than the norm. I think they lowered the LICO for 2020 because of covid-19's impact on the economy and income levels. Otherwise a large % of people would no longer qualify all because...

Didn't meet income requirements in 2020. Am I disqualified for being a potential family sponsor for the next 3 years?

In Quebec no. You only need the past year's income to qualify For the rest of Canada yes. You need 3 years of income. Maybe you can move to Quebec? I know one forum member here moved to Quebec specially for this purpose.

So if there are even more irresponsible people we will have even more invites! Awesome! Actually come to think of it if we stopped giving correct advice and let all those who dont qualify submit applications then there would be more invitations in the next draw and also IRCC gets to earn some...

Parental Sponsorship - Dividends - Self Employed - Eligibility?

You can gauge the increase in LICO year to year from past information. Then estimate in the generous side what it might be for the next year. With covid 2020 LICO levels dropped considerably. I would chalk it out. Go by the 2018 2019 ones for 2021 and 2022.

@scylla has answered your questions several times. Both parents if alive and not divorced have to be sponsored together. You cannot just sponsor one of them. You need to meet income requirements for both parents and yourself assuming you are not married and have no children. So for 3 persons...

part of the reason is political. If you win the seats in Quebec and Ontario you win the Federal election. No need whatsoever to bother with the rest of Canada. Get on the wrong side of Quebec and you are in trouble. I think Quebec should really be a proud nation on their own. They deserve it...

Indeed sensitive. https://www.jobillico.com/blog/en/the-average-canadian-salary-in-2020/ I always see Quebec compare themselves with ON and AB. Canada also includes our Atlantic brethren. NB, PEI and NS. Where salaries are even lower than Quebec. Actually MB also has lower average salaries...
