That is not true. I have masters from India and it is equivalent to Canadian masters. Sometimes while applying for international programs, if you have a 5 year bachelor and 1 year of post graduate diploma, you can combine that last year of bachelor into PG and count as masters. BUT that varies...

I haven't called IRCC yet so don't know about my VO. Mine is OINP EE Outland. Also, this is strange because from what I have read here, the criminality usually gets completed after biometrics is marked as completed on tracker. I could be wrong though

Did they say which stage hasn't started? As far as I know there are 3 stages in background verification. I am in the same boat as you. AOR 1st December and background verification has been in progress since Jan 25th

Yeah, both are marked as completed since Jan 25

So my background check is in progress since Jan 25 and eligibility is not started on tracker But in GCkey both are in progress. So which one is updated? Is my eligibility not started or is it in progress?

You could try for South American countries, their requirements may not be that harsh. Also, there is a reddit thread called Iwantout. You can try explaining your situation there and see if you get better options or advice

I am also in a similar position. My BIL and MEP were completed on 24 Jan but my background check is still in progress since 25 Jan

FSW PNP Outland AOR: 01 December 2023 BIO/ MEP: 15 January 2024 Both marked as completed on 25 January 2024 Since last week my tracker shows, background in progress but eligibility has not started. Is this normal, for background verification to start before eligibility?
