Passports to CPC Ottawa Dec 2017

For first question, you can either email Ottawa office or call CIC to confirm if they have received your passport. For second question, once your application has been approved, the online status will be changed to "your application has been approved". That is how you check both of them.

Happy New Year!! First of all, it is definitely a good news that they have started your BCG. You are 99% progress to dm now!!! Please do not worry about the BCG time frame, I have heard HK office usually takes longer BCG time than other Visa office this year and it is totally normal for HK...

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

Yes they would be my suggestion, just wait for their response. I do not think it would be a big problem since it is not the formal form.

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

Okay, that is not that bad then, they might keep your application. But I do not think it will work if you just send a explanation letter right now, because you are not even in their file yet.

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

Hi, I just want to make sure if i have any misunderstanding. Did you forget to sign any formal forms that CIC request to fill, or just forgot to sign a description you wrote by yourself? The first situation is 100% to return. The second one is not bad, they might still keep your application.

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

For small mistakes, there might be chance that they will still keep your application without returning it. For me, I didn't prepare my NOA very well (but I submit all the other tax info), and they still kept my application and gave me the application number, but missing signature is considered...

You do not need to worry about it at all. You can choose either signature required or not, that will not affect your process at all. I did it with signature required, too, there is no problem for me at all.

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

In my opinion, you probably will get your dm in 1 month. The time frame to receive your GCMS notes is usually 1 month, too. you may not need to order the note at this point. If i were you, I will wait for 1 or 2 more weeks to see if there is any update in online account before ordering note.

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

it totally depends on different cases, some cases got dm in 1 day after BCG started, some cases take weeks or even months to get dm after BCG started. No one can give you an exact answer. The good thing is you are very close to the end of the journey now, so do not worry about it. :)

Yes, that is correct. When you receive your COPR, there will be a deadline for your PR visa which means you have to land before that date. The time frame they give for your landing deadline usually depends on your medical exam expiration date.

how did you receive the requests from CIC before? If they always send requested emails(like medical and PCC) to you, PPR will come as email, too.

I don't think so, the impact of time frame would more depend on your case. It might be faster if the case is super easy.
