I’m an inland applicant and even though it states that MIDI will forward a copy of the CSQ to CIC we still went ahead and sent a copy to CIC through webfotm just to be on the safe side and they acknowledged receipt of the uploaded CSQ

No need to worry about that. It’s fine. Just include the letter from cic when submitting the request to MIDI.
