you dont need international drving licence, you only need to translate the lebanese one (offcially) and you have 90 days to drive with it or till u get ur canadian Driving licence. That what we did.

There is a special part of the desks for the "Quebec" people, first he will pass by the customs get his luggage and will be ask to go to this office for the quebec immigrants, it is just a routine check , nothing to worry, expect an hour or so afdter landing for him to be out and in ur hands!:)

Nagz , usualy what happen to us is even if you beg them for the visa same day they probably will tell come back tomorow at 2:30 pm, we tried but didnt work on the same day. for info about when ur husband land in Quebec, typical regular questions, like where u will be living, planning to work...

They offer you the choice to deposit your passport at the embassy in beirut, it take one month to go to damascus and back to beirut with a visa stamp, the visa is issued from damascus , they dont issue the visa from beirut, that what i was told when i went with my wife back in july- Thank you

Nagz,even if you select beirut as the office for point of contact , when they will send u the PPR , u will have the choice -to send ur passport to beirut (it takes 4 weeks for the passport to go to damascus and come back to beirut) - to send ur passport by DHL (it takes 2 weeks to come back) -...

Khaled, you are right about each file is different, and each case is different,and i agree that if file is complete and all the papers/documents are up to date and valid it should take normal processing time, keep in mind that all processing time for all countries are increasing every quarter...
