Can one apply for CEC while one's FSW is in process AND medicals have been done?

Indeed, but when it comes to such serious matters, spending and potentially risking a refund are minor worries for many people, I'd suppose. Thanks!

Can one apply for CEC while one's FSW is in process AND medicals have been done?

Thanks, jes_ON. Would you advise her to send a CEC application now that her meds shall be received by the office? (I think her file got transferred to Los Angeles in April and will probably remain there.) I'd assume that within the next 5 months, the office will request her passport. The CEC...

Can one apply for CEC while one's FSW is in process AND medicals have been done?

Hi all, My most wonderful, most amazing, most loving, most caring, irreplaceable girlfriend has applied for FSW two years ago. At last, she did her meds a week ago. As an insurance policy, however, she intends to also submit a CEC application while her FSW is still in process. She has been...

Can I leave Canada within a week after LANDING ?

To answer your question, which is also the title of your thread, whether you can leave Canada within a week after landing, the answer is yes, but with the following caveats. 1. Since the PR card is the *only* document that shall allow re-entry to Canada, you must be in possession of it as well...

BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

Just a note of ascertainment: All "Decision Made" files are with Buffalo. The office is scheduled to permanently close this August. However, all 'In Process' applications or less mature than that have been transferred to CPP-O and may have been distributed to Detroit, LA, and less certainly Seattle.

Good news. Just checked Canada Post. My item has been checked in Fort Erie about 40 minutes ago. I hope to have it delivered within 3 days to Vancouver. Next step: Hoping all goes well, I plan to do a flag-pole in White Rock, BC. Thereafter, I will start a topic with my experience and all the...

BC PNP Decision Has been made

To be honest, I went through the BC PNP nomination and never received any correspondence or calls until they sent me the acceptance letter two months after I'd applied. How did your interview go? Any updates on this? I wish you all the luck!

    PhD applicant PNP ontario

In this Q&A page, ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPQUESTIONS.html, they write they need to see a "satisfying level of funding to establish" yourself in ON, since no job offer is required. Thus, the more you show, the better. However, as a PhD student, you must be getting some funding from your...

Congrats! Alas, there is no logic in how Buffalo works (worked)! They have no sense of chronology, evidently. Where did you do your landing?

Passport submission to Visa Issuance time for Buffalo

Hi neptune01, I'm swimming in similar waters. My DM status changed on May 18th, still waiting for passport return. Called CIC twice. The first agent told me everything, including passports, has been transferred to CPP-O. The other agent told me ask the Buffalo Office directly. I did a few days...

    PhD applicant PNP ontario

Please, read whatever official information is relevant and available. Start with ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPSTUDENTS.html#_phd. If you have a Master's degree already, you can go with option 3. Otherwise, wait until you graduate, unless rules change again.

I am now used to reporting inconsistencies among officials. They told me my passport would be in CPP-O. Now, I read from you it must be in Buffalo. Well, I guess I can wait another week.

    LANDING FORMALITIES IN SERVICE CANADA

According to Section 7.9 of the document cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op07b-eng.pdf here, you must call CIC and set up an appointment with a landing kiosk at a CIC office in the city you intend to do the "landing." Besides, you could also do a flag-pole. These are the only official...

    From Passport Request to Visa

I'm in a similar situation. My PPR was in April 24, 2012. My passport was received at Fort Erie on May 2, 2012. My ECAS status changed to DM on May 18, 2012. I called CIC and the agent was kind enough to tell me that "everything, including stamped passports, has been transferred to CPP-O as...
