That’s surprising. Why would they issue a Pre Arrival Notice when you are already in Canada? The folks I know personally who got their COPR and as U can see on this forum too, never received PAL. What’s your status in Canada, if I may Ask?

BOWP with/out AOR, opposite answers from IRCC Reps

im afraid that’s incorrect my friend. I’m in neither of the categories you listed. There is no such pre-requisite. The very reason you are issued a work permit support letter from the province is to ensure that you keep your status in Canada legal while a decision is made on your permanent...

BOWP with/out AOR, opposite answers from IRCC Reps

I am surprised to see how much misunderstanding exists on this subject. I've posted on other forums, and I will do it once again to help you out. So here it is: You cannot apply for a BOWP without AOR, but if your work permit is expiring within 4 months, you CAN apply for an OPEN WORK PERMIT...

But medical is valid only for 1 year. If they haven't received the AOR, there is no point in doing upfront medicals. It's an unnecessary expense. Average processing time after receiving the AOR is approx 1 year..

That is correct. If the restrictions on employment section says yes, you can only apply for a closed work permit. However, this is very rare. PNP rarely puts this condition. May I ask what's your NOC?

You are receiving wrong advice by people here. Your agent is right. Please be patient. Medicals are automatically sent by the panel doctor to IRCC and they automatically get linked to your file. Please don’t spoil your relations with your agent. Most of these people apply directly without any...

If you have already submitted a permanent residence application by mail. You “do not” have to do anything even if your Nomination expires. An extension to your nomination is only required if you are applying for permanent residence AFTER your nomination has expired.

PNP PR PAPER-BASED - June - Aug 2020 Applicant —— Let’s share timeline and progress of Application

No, you do not need an AOR to extend your work permit, meaning when you apply for an Open Work Permit. You do need an AOR only for BOWP. So if you do not receive your AOR and your existing work permit is about to expire, you should apply for an Open Work Permit minimum 30 days before expiry of...
