My application is in the Montréal office, Since my test was set to complete on April 19th, 2021 I have no updates, not even DM. I think the person working on the pile that has our applications in is too slow :confused:

I have only Background check and tests that are completed since April 23rd 2021

Neither case apply to me. I never had to give fingerprints. And my background check has always been completed since 2019, never turned to "in progress" again. but they told me last year that they actually did a new background check, that's why I assume they're doing it everytime it's been a year...

What I understood last year when we could still talk to someone on the phone, is that a background check lasts 1 year. So all who have seen their application process start in December 2019 for example, are now having their 2nd background check expired and IRCC need to do another background check...

I have no idea, i don't know either why it's still in Sydney, maybe the 1st background check is made there before they send the file to the local office. But I'm just guessing I cannot really tell. So if they already are in the middle of a certain process would it be a good idea to withdraw and...

I've actually observed this: before summer they were advancing each week by 1 week, later in summer, they kept working on the same week for 3 weeks, because of course, workers need their 5 weeks of vacation, even though there's a pandemic and there are emergencies, and the government is adding...

Just checked IRCC website, they are still working on applications received between 18 and 24 August 2019 :confused: it's not getting faster. I still hope to get something changed this week in my CAS.

Oh and I'm in Quebec city not Montreal, but the office is Montreal I guess because that's what was written in the email address of the test invite
