I think it's more to do with the new immigration process that IRCC should file biometrics of all new applicants. If you hadn't filed FP during PR process then you will most probably get a FP request in Citizenship processing.

Well, there is progress on Online Applications. This week Scarbrough Processing Centre has sent test invites to July Applicants with AOR of October 1st week Over the last week, Montreal and Ottawa Processing Centres have sent test invites to August Applicants. So we can expect some more Ghost...

A breath of relief seeing some activity on August Online ones whereas Paper applicants from Nov'21 are getting BG completed messages (Toronto). Hope the Toronto offices also works on the online ones starting from mid-June '21 onwards.

Congrats! Might be the 1st update among the entire August Online Applicants. Hope the other Processing Centres also start working on the August Online Applications.

Interesting fact: Some of the paper applications from September and October applicants are moving to "Test Invite Received" status. When will the IRCC look at the online applications? It's stuck at June applicants. Truly frustrating.
