I didn't get to that status. Mine directly went from 'Certificate printed' on the Consular website to 'Ready for collection' at the BLS website.

Applied on December 9th and got it on 27th Jan

Took 1.5 months for me.

I received my certificate and it still says printed on the tracking page. Check BLS tracking not the Passport Seva tracking.

Their website literally mentions that the courier fee is to be included in the postal order "Kindly Provide Postal order only in favor of BLS International Services Canada Inc., Which includes Renunciation fee/surrender fee + consular fee + BLS Service charges + Return courier fees, to send back...

They are straight out denying that I paid them the return courier fee. It was literally included in my bank draft (35$). Wonder what I should do now.

I've called BLS twice regarding this and they told me that there's no need to submit originals in case of a postal application.

You don't have to submit original documents if you are applying by post.

In the employment section, there's no option for unemployed in the drop down menu in the OCI form. Which option should an unemployed person choose?

There's a previous Previous Passport Number section on the OCI form. Should I enter my Indian passport number? or is this only applicable if I had an old Canadian passport?

Has anyone here mailed their OCI application using Canada Post, FEDEX or UPS? If yes, how much money did you include in the bank draft as return courier fee? The fee section just says BLS Processing Fee: $7.4+ Courier fee but there's no mention of the amount.

Been trying since this morning.

Has BLS Toronto changed their number? When I try calling them, it says,"the number you have called is not in service".

BLS website says the processing time for Issuance of OCI Booklet is 4- 5 Weeks for Toronto. Are people really getting it within that time frame?

My surrender certificate status has changed to "Certificate Printed". How long does it take to get the certificate after this? I have an OCI appointment at BLS on Saturday. Realistically, can I get it before that?

If I apply for OCI in person, do they return the original documents like Canadian passport on the spot or do they keep them and return them later?
