    ****** CEC - December 2022 AOR ******

We received RPRF request today an paid it. AOR: 10 December MEP: 13 January According to tracker, eligibility and security not started. PVO: Ottawa. SVO: Sydney If these are not started, why are they asking for RPRF? Is that a sign that the application is moving?

    ****** CEC - December 2022 AOR ******

Yes, that was typically happening. You just need to be persistent. For some reason, it worked for us today, and at a time when it's not recommended to call (around 2 PM).

    ****** CEC - December 2022 AOR ******

Alberta. I suppose it should be MST 8. ? I saw that someone mentioned a phone shortcut but I can't find it. What should be entered when you call them to get to the relevant option quickly?

    ****** CEC - December 2022 AOR ******

AOR: December 10th. Medical passed: January 13th. Since then no changes. The tracker says eligibility and security not started. Is it a good time to call IRCC? What is the "phone trick" people use to get to them more quickly?

Proof of Islamic marriage other than wedding pictures

There were 5 people at our wedding (including us!) I never even thought they might ask about it. But we married in 2005 so it might be different for new marriages. In any case, if they ask, they will get the pic of 5 people signing a book at the notary's office. So far, submit the certificate...

Proof of Islamic marriage other than wedding pictures

I am confused. Why is marriage certificate not enough to provide?

Who else is scared and frustrated about lack of CEC draws?

I don't think newcomers are a cost to the system compared to CEC in a sense that there are any specific costs or financial help provided. It's just that CEC often already have jobs and have demonstrated their ability to adapt to Canada. CEC have what Canadian employers love: Canadian experience...

    Finishing not-in-demand Master's program

I would start learning French. My wife did that last year, as a PhD graduate in a NOC that's not particularly in demand. We did it not because of category draws but because of lack of points due to age, but it will, it seems, help with category draws. On the other hand, we just don't know how a...

Who else is scared and frustrated about lack of CEC draws?

Honestly? The "assimilation costs" sound more like a conservative scary words than a reality. There is this idea that the country is giving a lot of money to immigrants (code word for "non-white people") when it should care for "real Canadians" ("white people"). This is untrue. I am not blaming...

Who else is scared and frustrated about lack of CEC draws?

There was a draw today with cutoff score 490. Did anyone get an ITA? The 485 points person might have a good shot until March.

    Please help me out guys...

It is true that paystubs are not necessary, but they can help if situation is more complicated than a simple "hired on (date) and worked full time since then". For example, my wife's hours change with each university semester that she teaches, and range from 15h to 45h per week, depending on the...

Who else is scared and frustrated about lack of CEC draws?

What do you mean by "they don't confsider us"? They do. CEC people get regularly selected in Express Entry draws. You are correct about work permits though. No everyone affected by covid is covered by work permit extension policy. I don't know why/how they excluded permits expiring in 2023...

    FSW WORLDWIDE

While I disagree with the poster asking about CEC draws, as I explained in the thread, PNP is not an easy option at all for many people, because it's either NOC-based or even more competitive than Express Entry. CEC is the best program for people with Canadian degrees and experience. It admits...

Who else is scared and frustrated about lack of CEC draws?

I understand all of this, believe me. My wife arrived in 2014 to study. Our work permits expire at the end of April. It means we were not included in the work permit extension policy. We got invited on October 12, but we know exactly the feeling you are talking about. All of this is a real...

    Please help me out guys...

Yes, they count hours, not weeks. You have to make sure that you meet the required number of hours (and not counting anything above 30 per week).
