    COPR and coronavirus

Ideally, your company's immigration lawyers should help you obtain the AL. If they're not able to help, then you can try writing to IRCC. If the job is considered essential, they usually give you an AL. Some people on this thread have been successful with their AL requests.

    COPR and coronavirus

If your COPR was issued before 18th March 2020, you're free to travel. Otherwise, you need an authorization letter.

    COPR and coronavirus

There are some who received an AL without receiving a new "Visa". Did you get a new stamp?

    COPR and coronavirus

Just venturing an honest guess. Majority of the people on this forum who have had their remedicals done and have COPR from before March 18th have eventually received an AL.

    COPR and coronavirus

If your family's COPR approval is before 18/03/2020, they should hear from IRCC with an AL soon. Hang in there, my friend! No need to raise any more webforms.

    COPR and coronavirus

But with an original COPR that pre-dates March 18th 2020, they could have given you a pass. Otherwise what was the point of giving you a new counterfoil? Anyways, apologies if I'm overstepping here. You obviously know your situation much better than I do.

    COPR and coronavirus

Well, did you receive your first COPR, OR did you have an expired COPR from before 18th March 2020, and now have a new document? If it's the former, then you might just have to wait until the restrictions are lifted. There is no particular process to "request" an AL.

    COPR and coronavirus

This is beyond reason and comprehension. I feel your pain. Nobody should have to go through this nightmare. But here we are. Did you try to board the flight with the new counterfoil, or at least contact the airlines?

    COPR and coronavirus

I don't think there's much else to be done. One can only hope that they soon pay attention to the mess they're creating by delaying so many applications.

    COPR and coronavirus

Is there anyone with a COPR approval between 19th - 22nd March 2020 (submission of passport before 18th) + New Delhi as their Visa Office, who has received an AL?

Yes, I've done it a couple of times already, but haven't received any response.

Similar situation here. I've sent several emails to all the email addresses shared by other members, but haven't received any response.

    COPR and coronavirus

Really? Taking care of your citizens by destroying tens of thousands of lives? Are COPR holders just tourists with casual plans to holiday? Is this what Canada's morality is? They first imposed the restrictions, and common people like us who trusted in their system suffered! Now we are being...

    COPR and coronavirus

Quite frankly, it is not as simple as you're making it out to be. People who got their COPRs re-approved and got their passports re-stamped, and have NO Authorisation Letter, are NOT "exempt". It is completely the airlines' discretion whether to consider the old expired document. I'm...

    COPR and coronavirus

That's great that you've received your new COPRs and passport stamps, but this document probably makes you a post-March-18th COPR holder. How long is the new stamp valid for? I'd be super glad to be wrong about this, but you might not be exempt to travel :-s But as @WantToImmigrate pointed out...

    COPR and coronavirus

Yes, you'll need to wait. By the way, today I learned from an agent that some pre-March 18th approvals are getting passport requests for new visa stamps and COPRs, but guess what they have now become "Post-Mar 18th" cases with the blessing of this new document, and are not allowed to travel...

Anyone here whose copr was issued AFTER march 18th, and has received a re-med request or AL?

    COPR and coronavirus

I'm sorry for any misunderstanding, but I was genuinely trying to ask a question: Is this really the IRCC way (The 'We regret' emails) to communicate about re-meds? I thought they were sending explicit directions that they want a remedical done and uploaded. Because the email that Rajdeep Kaur...

    COPR and coronavirus

Wow! Is the IRCC way to tell you to get your re-meds done? I thought people were getting explicit directions in very clear terms that they need to get re-meds done.

New Zealand is 'covid-free' because of their domestic containment efforts. All countries bubbled up, but they're not all covid free.
