    Yes I did call the IRCC and I was told they are doing background check and also I'm still within the process time. I also sent an email to Niagara all I heard that my application still in queue.

    Next month 26 of May would be 1 year I got my AIP and still waiting for the portal.

    Yes when you pass the eligibility, that's when you will be issued AIP. Not at stage 2. Without AIP you can't get to stage 2.

    Yes I did but I didn't see anything and anytime I called IRCC, the agent always says they are doing the background check and I'm still within the process time. My application would be 20 months this April

    Canada has been deporting failed refugee claimant for a very long time. So it's true what you heard.

    Any decision made without AIP its a refusal.

    AIP means Approval in Principle. If you didn’t receive that and you saw decision made in your ecas, I'm sorry to say, it is a refusal.

    We are in the same shoe, I have been waiting for background check since May 2023 after AIP. My application is already 19 months I'm just waiting for the 20 months cap before I know what to do. So no time limit as it stands.

    When did you send in your 2nd stage required documents? Answer to your question, you will need to print and sign it before sending it back to them.
