It will be any second. I would say don't look at the tracker or GCKey anymore because that will only be updated once they send you PPR. You are almost there. Hopefully it will be this week for you.

You need CoPR to access some services. I have yet to see CoPR being used after your PR card is received. However, I was told that you take it to grave because it can be needed later in life if any issues or discrepancies arise in any system. May be that's just a myth.

They stamp a visa and give CoPR as a separate document. After your arrival, the CoPR becomes kind of like your birth certificate. You'll take it to grave. The visa is one time use only as you'll get PR card after that will be used to enter Canada.

Ghost update means application updated shows up in gckey but when you open your application, nothing is updated. It means something happened in the background that we can't see.

That's a long time :o Did they give any reason?

For folks from Pakistan, the security can take a very long time, specially for males. So please be patient as it's a tedious process. Rest assured, as soon as they have clearance, they won't sit on it to issue you PPR.
