My advice: buy an island with all that money, create a new country and you will be its first citizen immediately. You can call it Entitlandia or something like that. Then you can create your own immigration system where entitled people can just pay to become citizens instantly.

I understand that, but in my opinion this is not the right approach. Why would someone’s decision of where to wait for the application after submission be a factor in the length of their processing timeline when by law it is allowed to be abroad? On one hand they allow it and on the other hand...

Thanks for the detailed writing. My point was that although there are risks, the current laws allow applicants to leave the country during the processing of their application. They are not specific on the duration and/or reason. As such, being asked one’s intentions should be procedural, but...

I find it humorous that they ask why you were out of the country for so long… ugh because it’s your prerogative and because it’s allowed by their own laws… As if that makes a difference given that you lived there for the time required. Citizens, for which we are applying are allowed to live...

Not true at all. The link you provided does not list being outside of Canada during your test as a reason for an application to be non-routine. If you moved out of Canada and have established residence in another country/address and did not disclose that new address during the application...

So it takes up to 1 month to issue the certificate and up to another month until you can collect your passport after they receive the certificate? Wow that unfortunately seems very slow..

Hey guys, has anybody heard of a case where there has been an invitation for oath within days/week(s) of completing the test or is it at least a month regardless?

Wow really? I presume I have to give the certificate to the Canadian embassy/consulate in the country where I am for them to issue the passport?

Thanks for the clarification. On the email that I received after notifying them that I am out of the country for my test the email was ircc.dncitscrscheduling…I suppose this is Scarborough. Any idea about processing speed at SCR compared to MIS?
