NATO itself won't interfere as Ukraine is not a NATO member. Interfering also means a potential bigger worldwide conflict which all parties want to avoid like plague. The truth is that Ukrainians will be left alone militarily.

West probably won't interfere militarily because that would probably erupt ww3. And I don't think that Russia would go farther than Ukraine (eg Hungary, Poland etc - ex post soviet bloc) because Ukraine is surrounded by NATO members.

If Canada offers help then I think yes. But Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic all have already said that they are ready to welcome refugees from Ukraine so most people would probably settle in that region.
