Thank you for this. I was planning something similar as well. Apply for WP - there by completing biometrics in India, then apply for TRV and hope that it is approved and we get the passport back soon enough and travel.

Below was my timeline: - May 25th - Applied - July 22nd - Biometrics --- Sept moved to India (Informed my immigration team about the same) - Oct 10th - Got request to submit passport - Dec 1st - Requested passport submission details - Dec 5th - Submitted additional details - Dec 9th - Passport...

Last Thursday

Got my passport today with work permit. Applied while in US, came back to India and submitted passport here.

Got my passport back today. Took 1 week from the date I shipped.

Same timeline, still waiting for an update.

Applied in May, completed biometrics on 20th July and still waiting for ICT WP. Planning to go back to India and wait from there as there is no definite timeline on when this can be completed

^True. That is where I am still evaluating options on whether to go back now vs wait for 3 more weeks and see how things are going ( For now I've applied for COS to B2 visa here in US)

In a similar situation, but with opt extension expired. Given the current circumstances, I am thinking it is better to move to India for now, and submit passport from there rather than waiting here without working.

Yes, just like others have described it. Same process. Make sure you are only 15 min before the appointment time..

For the ones who completed biometrics, what does your portal say? My immigration lawyer just sent me a screenshot but that doesn't have anything regarding completion of biometrics, just a date saying when I was enrolled for that.
