I've recieved what seems to be an AIP letter today! ECAS has no changes though. How long does it take from AIP letter to the next step? December 2016 applicant

I am filling IMM 5710 form to get an Open Work Permit. They request to put information about my prospective employer. Do I have to fill this information in if I am applying for an OWP under sponsorship?

Are you in Ontario? Do you know if they stamp the IMM form from CIC or there is another form they have. I remember when I had to go there one time, I had to use their legal size paper. Also we have sent the declaration whenever we applied for sponsorship, do I have to give CIC the same copy...

Thank you for your reply! That's a relief because I was worried I would have to look for a lawyer and pay a tone of money to get it notarized.

I am applying for an OWP. In the guide it is mentioned that the Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM5409) must be notarized to be valid. I dont remember anyone here mentioning that they notarized this form. Do I have to notarize it?

Would Privacy Act give us enough information about our application? I read a brief explanation and it sounds that Privacy Act just gives personal information, not really what is going on with the application.

I don't understand why they haven't started your sponsor side yet when people from July 2017 got DM already. That seems so unfair. Just because we applied right before December 7th now we are basically at the end of the line. I don't understand how an application from Dec 2/16 can take longer...

Are there any late November/early December 2016 applicants left that still have PR Application status Application Received?

Got it now :) I was considering starting to get all my documents ready and apply for OWP in June. I was hoping that I could keep working until I get my PR because I am so sick of spending my money on CIC and not getting proper service for that money. But not much we can do I guess at this...

I will. I have got another question. If on ESCAS it shows In progress/In progress, that would mean that the sponsor got approved, doesn't it?

So basically I can't work after my PGWP expires? I remember I was able to work while waiting for PGWP with expired Study Permit as I had already submitted my application.

Congrats :) I am December 6th applicant and it is extremely quiet on my side. I have seen a lot of people from Nov-Dec 2016 started getting "In Process" for the Principal Applicants. Hopefully I will get mine soon. I am worried that I would be the one who waits forever watching the rest getting...

First of all, I AM NOT TRYING TO HURT ANYONE'S FEELINGS. I am in the same situation as many of you guys. I just tried to let people know that someone there is waiting for 18 months so there is no need to worry about a 2 months wait (it could be worse). Also, 2017 applications will not take that...
