We had an interview, was told verbally and was sent an email the same day requesting to submit it within 30 days.

It was for time spent in the US. In the 5 years prior to applying for citizenship, I spent 2 years in the US. I live in Canada now.

We completed our interview on 22nd June and where asked to provide additional documents - Arrival/Departure history from the US and FBI clearance certificate for our time spent there. The wait continues.

PR renewal was smooth, I renewed after spending 800 days on PR. Citizenship is in progress, test complete.

If you were not a tax resident for Canada, you don't need to file returns. I became a PR in 2015, and spent only 5-6 days each year in Canada till I finally moved in 2018. I started filing taxes from 2018 when I established a residence here and moved here for good.

You should have completed 730 days in Canada on or before of date you sign the application for PR card renewal. If its is less, it might automatically go into non-standard processing and you will anyways not get a renewed PR card on time.

No clue. But I did ask my MP to contact IRCC for a status update in January. IRCC responded that things are in progress. I also asked for GCMS notes in October, haven't received them yet.

There are a lot of us. IRCC is processing Jan-2022 and after applications within the 1 year window and trying to slowly catch-up on the older applications. Doesn't make sense, but then.. its a govt. office.
