Dude, I'm just another person. I don't have more information. Don't lose hope - it takes time - the government website still says 12 months at least - everything that is meant for us will reach at its due time.

Don't get banned by getting too many visa denials. I'd recommend actually travelling with your partner to another country where they have to obtain a visa first, then they'd be far more likely to receive the Canadian visa if they have travelled in the past. Going to Mexico was an easy route for...
