Have you done a CSE specifically about expiring medicals? Have a look at post 3971 of the August 2017 AOR thread. This may give an idea. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/august-aor-2017.508450/page-265#post-7134876

Well it was difficult at first, but then one gets used to it and encounters a quiet resignation to fate ! There's no use worrying. Many of us did Case Specific Enquiries beyond the 6 month mark and ordered GCMS notes to find out more. Anyway, there's no use worrying too much, its not in our hands.

This is what IRCC states. That 80% cases are processed in 6 months time. They are updating their policies regarding application processing times. Many in this forum have had to wait much longer than 6 months as well (I had to wait 11 months), while for some the wait was less than 6 months (even...

Keep in mind that this is September 2017 AOR group and the charts on Page-6 are for last year (not the latest). For September 2018 AOR, have a look here: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/september-2018-aor-join-here.581191/

Congratulations! Well, my PPR came last month and my medical was about to expire at that time. When I got the CoPR and PR Visas, I found that they are valid till May next year. I think they will give you sufficient time to land, and not just a few days, as otherwise they issue a remedical...

Hi @KHI @bimale4bipeople has thoroughly answered your questions! I just wanted to add a few things. I am also from Pakistan and in Canada on Study Permit. My PR AOR was August 31, 2017 and PPR came last month, that is after 11 months instead of the expected 6 months. My application was in SS as...

This may be in response to the CSE that you initiated recently. Have they responded to the CSE?

Hi there. I received a ghost update back in May and my IRCC account showed that Medical status had changed to "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes". It was previously set to "You passed the medical exam". I received another update three days later where the...

The notes from IRCC will contain the most relevant information. When my application was delayed, I learnt through the IRCC notes that it had cleared eligibility, criminality checks, checks from other countries, medical, and that the security field was blank so at that time it showed that the...

You are welcome @zroro These notes should first be requested from the IRCC as they are the main department dealing with Immigration related applications, such as Permanent Residency. The CBSA and CSIS are other government organizations, which the IRCC can engage, as required, for a particular...

I would recommend sending them another email about your GCMS notes since its been 3 months now. Also raise a Case Specific Enquiry (CSE) about your case to check its status in the meantime. You may just receive a standard reply but there's no harm in raising the CSE. Can some other member...

Yes this is a requirement that has to be met. I requested my case notes myself since I am already in Canada. Outland applicants need to apply through a representative who is in Canada. They need to appoint a "Designated Representative" and sign a Consent Form in favor of that person/entity.

Usually the GCMS notes arrive in a month. How did you order them? Through the ATIP online system (https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en) or through some third party website or through a consultant? Did you select the option of online delivery or postal delivery? Also, one...

Yes that could be it. However, I know of some other people from Pakistan who have had their cases processed in 4~5 months as well.

This was my guess that S21 must be for the Privacy Act, but thank you for clarifying. My travel history isn't extensive. I just have had a few trips between Canada and my home country (Pakistan) with a brief transit stop-over elsewhere.

They refer to Sections 15(1), 16(1)(a) and 16(1)(c) (Access to Information Act). I ordered through the ATIP website (https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en)

Yes I received CSIS notes as a one page letter by post (unlike the IRCC GCMS notes which came through email). The wording of the letter is quite similar to what you have mentioned. However, it does not mention the opening part that you mentioned (CSIS PPU 005 Security Assessments/Advice) and...
