Downloaded the e-Certificate today. The citizenship process is now officially done.

Hey everyone. My sister-in-law did her virtual citizenship oath ceremony today and submitted the oath form back to ircc. She is now officially a Canadian. Now we wait for the email for an e-certificate. Good luck everyone on their citizenship.

So I take it that the date when we get the email link for citizenship oath invitation from CIC would be the Oath Letter Date?

Some good news on our application. Status update: May 23. Language : Completed - May 21 Physical Presence: Completed - May 21 Prohibitions: Completed - May 21 Please update the spreadsheet.

We had a ghost update on our application. May 18th. Nothing appeared to have changed except note "Star Symbol New Update" assigned to 4 activity status under Application history. I hope this is a sign of eventual movement on the application very soon.

And to add to armoured's comment. If the child was born before you became Canadians, you would have to prove on intending to move back to Canada in order to apply for your child to get PR. You can't expect to remain outside Canada for your child to get PR and then apply for Canadian citizenship.

FYI: Not sure if it is needed here. After reviewing the email from ICC, I noticed that the email that the citizenship test was send from, came from Scarborough office. Please update the spreadsheet accordingly.
