How does the immigration know about these visits if the application is already submitted? I am curious because my significant other and I are visiting seeing each other a lot during this pandemic. That's the only way we keep ourselves from going insane...

You've lived in only one country since you were 18. You only have to submit just one police certificate from that country and that's it

With the insecurity in Haiti, I am not sure if you would find a lot of willing participants...

I would recommend you to pay all fees ahead of time. This allows for faster processing.
