Yes this is for supervisa. Passport validity is until 2029 but got the visa only for 5 years.... so messed up

Question for anyone who recently got the visa approved. How long the visa is valid for? My mothers visa got approved and the visa sticker says expiration is December, 2025. Even though her passport expiration is 2029.

congrats on receiving the test invite. is your background check still in progress on the online tracker? Also where did you get the email invite from? Niagara office?

Ecas works only for paper applicants. If you applied online, you can only use the new tracker.

Just received another email to "follow your application on the tracker". This is the second time I am receiving this. Is this a ghost update?

yes but if you look at the Dec online thread, a few online applicants were able to link their applications in ECAS. I believe they called IRCC to get that done.

Why wouldn't I wanna try?

Any of the online applicants tried to track their status in the old tracker? https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do I have been trying but it cannot find my application.

I can check my application on the new tracker: https://cst-ssc.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login However, ECAS still cannot find my application. Not sure if that works for online applications.
