i did not because my area MP is different but he was helpful and we got our passport fast after waiting for 4 months lol

Yes process is very fast now. That initial peak has died now. People are easily getting passports in a month now! So finally some relief. Phew :D

you only need the birth certificate of new born and parents pr cards. thats it. Apply in person at service canada. Takes around two months. You can do express pickup to if you have travel tickets.

Airbnb booking is more than enough. Just take all documents along and stand in line at one of the 35 specialized passport offices of service canada and get your passport. The lines aren't that long these days. You can even check the wait times for each passport office here...

Get travel tickets booked and go to passport office directly. Stand in line and get passport at the earliest. That is the only way.

Service canada returns the originals right away. Don't mail. I will recommend applying in person. You also get your file number right away.
