Quick question if anyone has applied for passport. Considering the current situation, how soon are we getting passports by snail mail (not including delivery time to Gatinaue)? I have requested a callback from service Canada to schedule an appointment, but I know that will take time.

At least the Scarborough office is. Grateful to them for moving my wife’s date from Nov 9th to Aug 26th in a matter of 10 mins and then processing the certificates within 3 business days. Hats off to the program assistant who did it for us.

IRCC is fast. They sent out the certificates (urgent processing) yesterday. Got them today. Now the passport application begins.

I got that too. Within 2 days of sending the passport pages scanned copies, the tracker started showing my oath date. So relax. You’re almost there

Thanks . Yes. We need a valid reason for the urgency request. We have a valid reason and the assistant mailed us, “filed for urgent dispatch, no guarantees”, but ended up saying during the ceremony, the dispatch will be done on Monday (our ceremony was on Thursday) and we should receive it 2...

I was reading your oath experience and I wasn't told to write the COPR isn't a PR anymore. They didn't even look at it. They just mentioned that keep it for OAS and all.

for some it's been 4 days from the date the certs were sent out. Highly depends upon snail mail canada post lol

You can reply to the assistant who scheduled your oath. We gave her the proof she needed for urgent processing and she said the certificates should be dispatched by Monday end of day.just saying you need it urgently doesn’t work. Proof is necessary.

You’ll receive the email 7-10 days before the ceremony.

Completed the oath yesterday (wife n me). Was smooth. Took an hour and 10 mins. To make it real quick, if you have a touch screen, feed your signatures into Adobe fill and sign. We had requested for our certificates to be delivered on urgent basis and the assistant told us they’ll be shipping...

Update from my side @rajkamalmohanram I humbly requested the oath coordinator to move my wife’s ceremony on the same day as mine (26th Aug). They did it in a span of 10 mins and she got her oath invite today. You might want to update the sheet for my wife. Thanks

Some updates. My wife is now scheduled for her oath on Nov 9th (Yay!). However, due to the India flight ban uncertainty and ease of travel for returning Canadians, we want to move up the oath. We have raised a webform for urgent processing, but that will most likely we won’t hear soon. Does...

I agree with you. I’m planning somewhere in September or October. Hope to get both passport and surrender of passport done by then. They say never count your chickens, but my passport form is ready to be mailed lol. I’ll keep the clerk thing in mind. Thanks for that.

Would you know what’s the actual time to receive the certificate? Asking since I might have to visit India and need my new passport and OCI
