It's still virtual for now - no announcements have been made re: in-person oaths so it might be a while till that happens. Having attended the virtual oath ceremony it does seem that over the past year they've really streamlined the process and got it down to a science...my only criticism is...

Hey, sorry for the delayed response - yep, got my invitation mail like a day after I saw the update on the new eCAS. My oath time is at 10:15 AM tomorrow. :)

Will do - I'm expecting to get it closer to the date - do we know if this is going to be an in-person one or a virtual one? The status update wasn't super clear about it....I reckon it's virtual though.

An officer from the IRCC called me up one morning at about 9:30 AM and told me what had happened and to keep my eyes out for a new test invite. As for the agents, I think it's reasonable to expect that giving a test, but not knowing if it's accepted with the test window rapidly closing...

You should follow up, tbh - the first time I messaged they didn't respond. I called, left a note and followed up and they immediately got back to me. I suspect that they get inundated with a lot of pleas for help so they might not be well equipped to handle that kind of traffic.

It's an infuriating position to be in, tbh: a) Don't renew PR card because you know your citizenship application is done, the oath is left. I mean, how much longer could it take, right? Right? b) Oath ceremony takes forever, you think "Ah, hell - looks like I might need to renew PR card after...

I think it gets even more irritating when you see people from some CPCs get their oath invites done within days of the test being marked as complete and then there are folks like us who have been done with this for a while, lol. At this point, I'm seriously considering ambushing a Citizenship...

To be perfectly honest, I have no clue because I used a rep and didn't have access to the GCKey, so I wasn't able to see the message that sponsors usually get about the application being transferred to a local visa office. The only message/notifications I did get were from the Ottawa office.
