I do think this reduces their urgency, but no the extent that they will parse them out evenly throughout the year. Clearing the backlog faster means more time to get a jump start on reducing processing time for 2023 landings.
Yes I received the same request two weeks ago, as well as a few others that visit this board. What was the exact wording they used? That they are ready to start processing your file, or they need documents to continue processing your file? Just curious if there are different versions of the sane...
Later in the same day the Review of additional documents section changed to acknowledge that I uploaded the documents and a day later it read "We are reviewing the additional documents you provided." Nothing since. Was only a week ago though for me.
I would really try to call your bank first and honestly just start crying on the phone. I agree IRCC is fucked to only give a week, but the bank should be able to draw the letter up in five minutes.
I submitted an updated letter with all of the information they initially asked for (date of account opening, average six month balance, etc.) and printed out transaction statements from the last six months. My bank was able to supply the letter within a day. Sorry yours is not. Maybe you want to...
