Outland application - spouse travelled to canada on visitor visa

I recently went through the same process, it took around 20-25 days for the PR portal email to come about virtual landing process. From there, it took 5 days to get COPR which concludes the PR process. (except for the card). Unfortunately, you will see some horror stories on this forum about...

*** September 2020 - Outland Spousal (Family Class) Sponsorship ***

We got "Decision Made" today. My wife has moved to Canada on student visa and we updated the applicant address 3 days ago. One of our friends told us that if the candidate is in Canada (We are Indian), it will get processed faster as there is currently a flight ban from India. This "Decision...

Inland Application: We left Canada to take care of family.

Good luck. There is so much negativity on this forum for whatever reasons. Some people may have ulterior motives too, so better ignore them. IRCC as far as I have seen from my and my friends experiences, never enforces stupid rules just to delay people's applications. Why would they want to...

Leaving Canada Temporarily while spouse's PR (outland) is in progress Sponser being PR and sponsorship eligibility is Approved

This is not a criminal case here. If they reject as you guys are saying - it's like this - you and your wife are eligible for this PR but I will make you apply again because you went outside for whatever duration. I do that, because I "can", no other reason... Now start again and we will...

PR with H1-B Planning to Move (Checklist)

My AMEX card covers it, I think. But yeah, if the fine print says US only, it probably is US only. Also these things change with time too.

PR with H1-B Planning to Move (Checklist)

B1/B2 should be pretty easy to get. Once they know you are a PR and staying here with a full-time job, there is virtually zero chance that it gets denied. They will ask about your i140 and green card application, be ready to answer that. (temp intent vs perm intent) Keep your 401K as is. You can...

Leaving Canada Temporarily while spouse's PR (outland) is in progress Sponser being PR and sponsorship eligibility is Approved

I dealt with US immigration before, and this line of questioning is exactly how they deal with stuff. I don't think IRCC will treat everyone as criminals until proven otherwise like USCIS does. The difference is - whether the authority is just using the "authority" to just mess with people OR...

Leaving Canada Temporarily while spouse's PR (outland) is in progress Sponser being PR and sponsorship eligibility is Approved

@armoured I think there is definitely some risk. All I'm trying to say is - even if they want to "refuse", they have to first know if someone is outside for "work" (my company can send me to train people for 3 months etc..) and because they don't know that from the application (they never asked...

Leaving Canada Temporarily while spouse's PR (outland) is in progress Sponser being PR and sponsorship eligibility is Approved

Was outside for few months and came back in as they started processing spouse's application recently.

Leaving Canada Temporarily while spouse's PR (outland) is in progress Sponser being PR and sponsorship eligibility is Approved

I'm not suggesting anyone to take that risk but my friends (whom I know directly or indirectly) experiences say that it's not black & white requirement (and it can't be, because they never spelled it out clearly, they would've if it's such a big deal). I'm just saying - if someone is already in...

Leaving Canada Temporarily while spouse's PR (outland) is in progress Sponser being PR and sponsorship eligibility is Approved

I have seen my friends application getting approved while he is away from Canada for more than 8 months. His sponsorship was approved before COVID and he left Canada after seeing "complete pause" on processing. He is still in India and his wife and kid for PPR and got stamped. I know another...

Leaving Canada Temporarily while spouse's PR (outland) is in progress Sponser being PR and sponsorship eligibility is Approved

I have never seen such post till now. I'm also interested. I went out for 6 months. What else can we do in COVID, clearly not knowing when our app gets processed and remote work option is available!!

*** September 2020 - Outland Spousal (Family Class) Sponsorship ***

I remember writing FIRST LAST, don't think the comma is a big deal. In a lot of these declarations (in lease agreements, employment offer letters etc.) they use FIRST LAST without comma.

    Spousal sponsorship query

@armoured @Kaibigan Really interesting comment thread. Thanks. For what it's worth, here is some info. I have a known a guy who is right now in India, who left after sponsorship approval some 10 months back (after this COVID rules came into play). His spousal sponsorship (1 wife + 1 kid) got...

FROM TODAY YOU CAN BOOK YOUR MANDATORY 3 DAY HOTEL QUARANTINE - GATHER HERE!!!

LOL, I deliberately chose Holiday Inn because it was expensive and thought that it was better than Hampton Inn next. By saying this, I know clearly now that you don't know the prices. The prices are between 1100-1200$, not 600-1200$.

FROM TODAY YOU CAN BOOK YOUR MANDATORY 3 DAY HOTEL QUARANTINE - GATHER HERE!!!

Exactly what I wanted to ask. Good that some hotels are treating people nicely. His experience is making me jealous, I asked for coffee and they told me I have to make (pretty bad) keurig coffee from the machine where no sugar or milk existed. Everything was just bad.
