You should definitelty double check this, but as far as I know you need to be in Canada to take the online test and for the citizenship ceremony. Also, I have heard of people getting checked more when they spend more time out of the country while they were on PR status, and applying for citizenship.

You only get the certificate on the same day if you do in person ceremony I believe. In all other cases, it takes a few days. From what I saw on the tracker, 10 days seems like the max time you’d have to wait so hopefully it’ll come through soon!

Did you guys receive any receipt or estimated date for the passport pickup when you went in person? When I went they told me to come back in exactly two weeks and gave me a receipt with the pick up date printed on it

Have you also tried using a tracker which you can update yourself? The tracker here looks really helpful too but it’s a bit difficult to work with if you’re updating it through someone else. I found another resource on this forum last year that I used, maybe it could be helpful to you too...

I got my certificate during my in-person ceremony but I think it’d be the same contact and office that is processing your citizenship ceremony responsible for sending it out… Maybe that’s happening because of the IRCC strike that happened last month?
