Yes you can, book the earliest appt. that you are getting. Then send a webform to the visa office handling your application, informing them that you are not able to get an appointment withinh 30 days.

NDVO might have already sent this information to Canadian office, but due to holidays, Canadian offices would be busy. Wait until Jan 6-7, if you don’t get anything then send another webform ro NDVO.
