    Documenting My Process/Progress

Further to my landing and the Section 32 Medical Surveillance 2.02 clause, here's a link to a post I made in the Health forum explaining what I found out: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/section-32-medical-surveillance-2-02.780337/ I hope that this post can...

    Section 32: Medical Surveillance 2.02

I was right. I messaged IRCC about the medical surveillance requirement and they've just got back to me with the following: So if you're here on a short visit to land, see a few sights or visit family etc before heading home to wrap up life and get ready to move permanently and you get a form...

    Documenting My Process/Progress

If you've got the time and the patience and there's no other option then yes, it's totally worth it. But it's a long process, self employed is very low on their list of application types to process so you need to be sure it's the route for you. Due to my age it was the only path left open to...

    Section 32: Medical Surveillance 2.02

BEFORE YOU READ THIS BEAR IN MIND THAT THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE, I AM NOT A LAWYER, I AM NOT AN IMMIGRATION CONSULTANT SO PLEASE DON'T BOTHER ASKING ME TO PM YOU OR ASKING ME FOR LEGAL ADVICE: I WILL NOT ANSWER BECAUSE I AM NOT QUALIFIED TO DO SO. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE FOUND AND MY ASSESSMENT OF...

    Documenting My Process/Progress

Woohoo! All done and dusted. Landed at Pearson, went throught the arrivals kiosk (used ArriveCan app to preload my customs declaration), border agent level 1 passed me to level 2 and he stamped my COPR. The only thing I need to query is the Section 32 2.02 medical surveillance note on the...

    Documenting My Process/Progress

Now that Canada has dropped it's covid reg's I've booked my flights for the end of next month to do my soft landing! I'll update my signature when it's done and celebrate!:)

Soft Landing in other than nominated Province

Pretty sure you'll be fine. It's a soft landing. If you rock up with all your stuff in a different province to the one you said you were going to live in then they'd have a problem with it.

    Removing restrictions and mandates...

I'm not jabbed so if I were to land under the current reg's I'd need to be under house arrest for 14 days. I can't afford to spend 14 days sat in a HoJo watching cable and eating dorritos to prove I don't have a cold! If the regs are dropped at the end of the month then I can get out there for...

    Removing restrictions and mandates...

So it looks like the Federal government are finally removing their restrictions (all hinging on JT signing off on them) at the end of this month. Woohoo! Only a year late but if they do it it does mean that I can activate my PR. Assuming it happens I'll be booking my flight for the end of...

Fly in and out to activate PR?

Had a feeling that would be the case. If Canada don't drop their stupid quarantine rubbish by the end of the year my PR is going to run out and I won't get to activate it.

Fly in and out to activate PR?

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows how feasible it is to simply fly in from the UK, lurk about in the airport and then head home after getting the rubber stamp on the COPR forms... I need to fit this in around work and can't really mix it into a vacation. I'm also unjabbed so would ideally...

I have no idea. I'm not an immigration lawyer or specialist.

Anyone have an ear to the ground?

There goes the tourism industry for another year then... I was hoping that they'd join the rest of the world in the real world and drop their stupid restrictions. It makes no sense: an infected by jabbed person can get on a flight and enter the country but a healthy, unifected, unjabbed person...

Anyone have an ear to the ground?

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything from the inside about the government getting rid of the 14 day quarantine for the unjabbed?

    COPR issued 2022-02-16!

Congratulations to you too. How's the landing/settling process been? Where are you? I'm not there yet, I'm waiting for the Federal Gov to drop their 14 day quarantine for the unjabbed requirements before I do a soft landing. After that it's back to the UK for a major push of work to save up...

    COPR issued 2022-02-16!

It definitely ground me down. When you get a message and then nothing for months, when you pass your medical and then hear nothing for nearly a year, it all gets you down. It wouldn't be too bad if they at least automated some kind of update communications: "Hello. We've checked X and you've...
