Is there any special reason they do secondary bg check bec when i talked to my MP he said my bg is in process ? @sharma it varies from case to case i suppose.Some bg checks are simple others can take time. :(

Some of the Aug cases might be going through a secondary background check. CSIS can extend your application to more than 6 months if bg check takes a while. I know a few of July folks waiting even after 6 months. hopefully we dont fall in that category.

i ordered them in October.Everything looked good in that.Although BG wasn't started .It started on 6 Jan. After talking to the agent yesterday,I ordered them again.

She also said it can come any week till May.They are waiting for BG checks. But I think it will still be more than 6 months otherwise he wouldn't ask for more time. well he can transfer the file to someone else if he is in Bahamas :(

I am PNP inland.I called CIC. The agent told me that the officer has requested time till May on my file. Isn't it supposed to be 6 months? :-X ::) :(
