    February 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Just got my eCOPR! I'll post here once I receive my PR card, but here's my full timeline one last time: Application submitted: February 7, 2024 AOR: February 22, 2024 Biometrics requested: March 13, 2024 Biometrics submitted: March 21, 2024 Biometrics marked complete: March 21...

    February 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

I wouldn't worry about it yet. It looks like the virtual landing process is taking increasingly longer for everyone now than it did a month or two ago. It took over 3 weeks for me to get P2 after P1 so your timeline doesn't appear to be abnormal. Hopefully not too much longer.

No, I'm also still waiting. Received P2 on October 21st and submitted everything same day. Hoping it won't be too much longer.

Latest update: got P2 today (October 21st) after receiving P1 on September 26th. Hopefully the wait for eCOPR isn't as long!

    February 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Oh, I see. That number shows up in the tracker when you're approved, but it's not the official COPR document yet (so you can't use it for travel, getting a SIN, etc). You'll get the official document after submitting those things through the portal after you get the P2 email. I'm in the same...

It is unlikely this is your COPR if you haven't yet declared your physical presence in Canada (which you do in the portal after getting P2). What does the message say?

Pre-arrival is a generic letter that does not signify any particular step in the process, unfortunately. I think the letter you'll want to keep an eye out for is the AIP one.

Update: my tracker updated to "final decision" today! Hoping it won't be too much longer for P1.

    February 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

So exciting to finally see some movement on our thread again! Congratulations to you both and keeping my fingers crossed that my good news as a Feb 7th applicant is coming soon. :)

Is this "Approved In Principle"? Seems way too quick? Should we even apply for an OWP now?

I had a similar quick timeline (submitted on Feb 7th and received AIP very quickly on March 25th) and my background check is still in process five months later. It does not signify an approach to the finish line for everyone, unfortunately.

    February 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

I haven't heard anything from IRCC since mid-April, which is when they accepted my medical. Everything except my background check has been complete since then.

    February 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

No. It looks like we're still a couple months away as December 2023 inland applicants are getting their portal invites now.

    February 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Assuming you are talking about the sponsor approval letter, I got my AIP the same day. But the timeline is completely different for everyone so I wouldn't worry too much if it doesn't come today.

    February 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

No, you cannot use the marriage license. IRCC will simply send your application back as incomplete and you'll have to redo it. Has to be the marriage certificate.

    February 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

No updates yet since receiving SA & AIP on March 25th. Eligibility, medical, and biometrics are all complete in the tracker and I'm just waiting on the background check.

I sent my biometrics more than two months ago and no answer?

Everyone's timeline is different and any potential issues with biometrics would not delay the medical exam request. I received my medical request before they even requested my biometrics. So I would not worry too much about any differences between your husband and your sister's husband -- they...
