I got my GCMS notes today (requested exactly 1 month ago). LPP hasn't yet started. Assigned to Sydney. I had a GU on March 28 and got only my criminality/background passed. Makes me wonder how long the LPP is going to take. The timelines are all over the place.

I agree. Folks should be able to express what they feel in this forum without judgment. You feel optimistic, that's ok. Another is pessimistic, that's OK too. We all process things differently and we are all here in the end because we want the same thing. There should be no judgment.

My opinion; if you are deeply connected to your country and may move back, remain a PR and keep your Indian status.

March 28, the day of the ghost update.

I just checked again and I received another update for today March 30: background completed so only Language, Physical Presence and prohibition remaining. Therefore the ghost update was NOT a glitch. More waiting though for the rest to clear. I haven't received a finger printing request...

Did you get a ghost update before?

No need to be reminded. No excitement about any news, but a select group of applicants from December received the update and while it could mean absolutely nothing, it also could mean something significant. PS ghost updates for any category could mean anything to nothing. I will be interested...

Exactly. I don't believe it was a glitch and folks quoting those call centre agents as gospel is not proving anything. The call centre agents themselves are contradictory.

I have checked the other threads ie January and February and no mass ghost update today. So perhaps it could be a sign of minimal progress for December applicants? I cannot wait to not deal with CIC again. That's why it took me 7 years to apply for citizenship as I do not miss dealing with them.

December 7 here and I got it but I wouldn't put any trust in the call centre. They typically know as much as we do.
