Hi I mailed them a letter end of March and received an email from Etobicoke office on April 07, that my request has been logged in and they will contact me for set appointment to pick my passport but until now there is no update. Sure, if I get any updates, I will let you know.

Which office did you claim asylum? That office is the one that you should send the request letter. Also, I’ve heard that about the CBSA office, people go and get back their passport in person on the same day.

They just send me an email and said that we will inform you about the appointment date and time to get back passport in person.
