No, just doing my PhD and probably my passport (country of citizenship)...I believe this is the main reason.

I had the same updates, on 27 September and 4 October, the medical for the main and dependent applicants was extended — nothing new after that. Hopefully it's a good sign.

Yes it is, it is under comprehensive security check. Anyway, it is too long.

Many people have been waiting since May 2023 and even earlier.

I haven’t received any updates for 9 months. The term “normal” seems to have no relevance when dealing with IRCC.

You don’t have many options and can do nothing but wait. I ordered an ATIP report for my case, but it contained no new information, with the last update being in December 2023.

IRCC asked me about the same, CV and military records. It was November 2023. Since then no any updates...

Do not worry. all offices are the same. Do not have any movement from December in the Ottawa office :)
