I would say wait for now however keep your application ready to submit by a week before ur work permit expire and apply 2 3 days before the expiration date... Same thing happened to me in August

4th April 2016 applicant The rest time line and story EXACTLY the same as urs. Work permit already expired and had to applied for another extension So endes up paying $510 for my and my wifes application..!! Thanks to CIC of course.. ;)

4 April 2016 applicant, BG status is in progress since 17th July 2017 eCAS hasn't updated to DM yet..so The best and only thing we can do is WAIT..!!

I'm not sure but I believe most of us...otherwise they would have received their DM or PPR by now..
