I read somewhere that BLS provides appointments from 9 am while office opens at 8 am. So basically for initial 1 hour they only take walk-ins.

They keep changing rules & checklists are not updated. They have targets so depending on whether their target is met or not, they accept or reject forms.

We submitted our OCI applications under other categories on 14-Oct. No issues.

I know someone whose postal applications (family of 4) got rejected 3 times. So calculate postal charges they paid.

Yes, there was some confusion in US around 9-10 days back. Couple of persons had posted this on a Facebook group. They had highlighed issue at Atlanta embassy & VFS SFO. Unfortunately I am not able to attach screenshot here.

Have you tried tracking on puralator website?

I think it should be raised somehow on Indian side, since Indian govt stopped it. No Indian diplomat was physically attacked in Canada, so not sure if Canadian govt can do anything. Instead Indian diplomat was attacked in UK but visas are not stopped for UK citizens.

Is there any further update on this? Recently many candidates are facing this issue, which was not the case earlier.

Very unlikely that you will get OCI by 15-Nov. Few others have mentioned a quick "Counter delivery at BLS". It could be because of one of the 3 reasons, unless someone confirms: 1. It probably got processed at CGI level (does your spouse already has OCI, is it for minor?) 2. There is some bug...

VFS in US were not even taking OCI applications from Canadian citizens living there till 3 days back. Not sure what current situation is.

Hope so. Out of thousands who are suffering because of these decisions I found only one person who is not Indian origin. All others who are suffering are Indian origin Canadians. Those who are in US are suffering more. They were not even getting OCI.

In case mail application is rejected, does status on BLS website immediately show that it's rejected or we find that only once it's returned back to our door? (Asking on behalf of someone else)
