I've called IRCC twice trying to get the confirmation they received my p1 response. They told me they "can not confirm or deny it". So, I guess they don't send anything to the applicants.

Means you send the reply for P1 email to all visa offices (or send P1 reply proactively). I don't know if it actually works, but some claims they got P2 email after they send KAI
