I believe they started doing Saturday oaths a while ago. Probably to help clear the back log.

Oh wow good to know. I take my oath April 2nd and we close on a house on April 12th so perhaps I should mention this at the oath. This didn't even cross my mind.

I wouldn’t have thought so. You’ll probably get oath pretty quick after the interview as I think the interview finalizes the application. But honestly, who knows with IRCC. They play by their own rules.

Roughly 4 months and I only got the oath invite because I emailed my local office.

That was me that they told they were filled until April. I will email again tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

can’t believe we’re still waiting

I truly have no idea how they are doing this. I applied a full year before and emailed asking for oath date so I could visit my family as I can see I’m oath ready and they said they were booked until April and to basically F off.

I contacted my MP but they really couldn’t do anything. Just generic answers from IRCC about backlog etc etc. I don’t know how to get it across to them how unfair the system is, people who applied a full year later should not be getting bumped to the front of the line when 2019/2020 people are...

if they’re booked until the end of April like they say that only gives me two full months (May and June) and given their very relaxed attitude two months doesn’t seem like quite enough time after all.

I just got this reply from scarb office. I’m a little bit sad because I really want to visit my family. My little bro is getting married in July and with these time lines who knows if I’ll even be able to go. I don’t understand why they give special treatment to some and not others. Good day...
