    Spousal sponsorship

Proof of intent to return should be fine. If IRCC is not convinced, they will request more. Your plan to support yourselves is a bit overkill. You can submit all of it but with $50k in savings, you can skip the cost breakdowns, health care estimates etc. and just provide a general explanation.

How to start to file spouse sponsorship

A potentially important note: you still will have to demonstrate for the PR application the bona fides of the relationship, and also your intent to return to Canada (if you're returning as soon as you can they may be understanding given the covid 19 travel issue). You may wish to concentrate...

She can stay outside of Canada but needs to update IRCC about her new address and will need to provide proof of intent to return to Canada before the app is approved.

Editing post, as I originally thought you were a PR. You can sponsor your spouse from outside of Canada. However, you will have to show strong proof of intent to return to Canada, particularly given your long absence. If he can come to Canada as a visitor, you can sponsor him inland. He can...

How do I sponsor my American husband when he makes all the money

No income requirement for sponsoring spouse. You have to show intent to return and having a house and a plan to start a business is good to go.

Change date of intent to return to Canada for Outland sponsorship

Hi all, I applied to sponsor my spouse a few months ago. At that point I supplied documents showing a job offer in Canada for mid-march 2020, and flights, etc... to return then. Circumstances have changed, and the job offer is now for January 2021. The application is in process right now. How...

    Spouse dependent visa

If she is not employed and has no assets it will be very difficult to prove intent to return to home country and proof of funds. There is no dependent visa. Depending on your status in Canada you might be able to sponsor the spouse (if you are a PR or citizen) or they can apply for an open...

    Sponsoring my partner

You can apply outland; there is a good possibility that it might be processed quicker than inland, with the current trend. With inland the Open Work Permit decision timeline is 3-4 months, while the outland application might be approved anytime between 3/6/8/12 months (depends on your case and...

Can I study abroad when my outland sponsorship is being processed

Have the OP tell the border that he/she has to complete the education in Europe before getting PR and see how that work out for the OP.

Yes if you lived together for 1 continuous year. CIC has become very picky on documentation you will be returning to Canada. Things like proof that you have put in notice for your US job, you have found a job in Canada or have had interviews in Canada, your lease is up in the US, etc. Many...

Delaying Move to Canada If US work is better

While you technically can do this (soft land and then wait for better time to move) as you would be applying from outside of Canada you must provide substantive proof of intent to return. Some people who have done this have reported occasional challenges at the border or with renewing PR cards...

Delaying Move to Canada If US work is better

I'm a Canadian citizen and my husband is on a US work visa. We are living in US for his work. If we apply for PR and get approved, can we delay the move up to Canada while the work is still better in the US? We would continue to apply for jobs in Canada until we find a good offer but don't want...

Problems of moving to another country with husband while applying for PR?

Have you already applied? That's not sufficient proof of intent to return to Canada at all. You'd need a lot more than that. You can search the forum for proof of intent to return and see what others have provided. This is mandatory if you apply while you are outside Canada.

Thanks! That's a relief to hear. Would a job offer and claims from friends and family serve as proof?

    Spousal sponsorship

Not sure where you are getting your information from but that is totally wrong. You're fine to apply outland from the US and to remain there while the app is processed. You just need to show solid proof of your intent to return to Canada.

Citizen sponsoring spouse leaving Canada after filing application

You should show intent to return to Canada immediately upon approval. I am not sure about having specific dates...it might indicate that should your spouse's PRbe approved months before the mentioned date you won't return to Canada (with her). But at the same time if we concider the processing...
