    Yep, you cannot pass the test in airport transit zone, however, you can leave the country in less than 14 days using regular airline.

    Yes, it's risky. However, it is, what it is. PR card is expiring in a month and I need to apply for a new one on a Canadian soil as well. So, seriously considering to jump in 14-day quarantine. Literally, no other way here...

    In the invitation is stated, that I have to be physically present in Canada and I guess, there's a difference in terms "landed" and "physically present". I can't find any official definition of "physically present", do you have any? For instance, if someone is applying for a shelter or asylum...

    In fact they'll reschedule it in 2-3 weeks ahead, which doesn't change anything. On top of that my PR expires in a month and it's a kind of perfect storm situation((. Thank you anyway!

    Not really. The negative test is a mandate to enter in EU, even for citizens, but you won't be allowed to board in Canada if you're still in a local quarantine.

    Thanks, that's exactly what I'm referring to. I'll need a private jet to leave Canada before 14 day term, otherwise, I won't be allowed to board on a regular airline. Thank you anyway!

    To pay for a hotel is not an issue, the problem is 14 day quarantine, which seems non-avoidable, if you're crossing the border and entering in the city.

    That is actually my intention to fly to Toronto for a few hours, sit and complete the test in the transit zone, then return back on the same day, as I have another restrictions related to COVID test validity in EU. Definitely, I'll pay for this flight.

    In my understanding, any airline won't allow you to board if you're breaking 14 day quarantine after arrival.
