You can do this. However, you need to update IRCC with your new address and will likely be requested to submit proof of intent to return to Canada before the app is finished.

Note that proving intent to return has nothing to do with sponsor approval. It is reviewed near the end of the process. They likely haven't even looked at your intent proofs yet.

Some people need a lot more evidence than this, rather than just a narrative. I hope your processing continues, but you may still be requested to provide further proof of intent to return. Just telling them you've thought about it isn't sufficient sometimes, you need proof of searches, letters...
