Applying Postgraduate while PR app is ongoing

Hello, Lately, I have been researching universities to apply for postgraduate studies, Msc. I am aware dual-intent is allowed in that I can have both PR and SP applications ongoing at the same time. However, I do not know how to address "the intent to return back to home country" or "showing...

Question RE: Sponsorship and living abroad.

As a citizen, you can sponsor your spouse while living outside of Canada however must demonstrate proof you plan to relocate back to Canada once the PR visa is approved. If the UK visa is for 2 years, then the recommendation would be to apply to sponsor your wife around 1 year before your UK...

Question RE: Sponsorship and living abroad.

Hello, I am a Canadian citizen, and my partner is an American citizen. We have been looking into sponsoring her to come to Canada, and had hoped to start the process sooner than later; however, I have also been looking at a work visa for the UK, to gain some work experience I had always wanted...

    Inland to Outland

You have to withdraw the inland one first, you would submit a web form advising them and giving the reason. Once that has been processed you can reapply outland. Since you are on a year contract in writing I presume, you shouldn't have a hard time proving intent to return to Canada.

    DECEMBER 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

If he has SA already it is pretty strange. I don't know where he is right now but contrary to @SidCD's comment you probably know he doesn't have to be in Cda when applying or during the app processing since he is a citizen. It shouldn't matter but is he living abroad right now?

    DECEMBER 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

Thanks for the insight but how does his past history of 10 years have anything to do with the application duration? As a Canadian, he has the right to live abroad, and we have been honest about this in the application, and he was living abroad for a while. I'd understand if they question intent...

A Canadian mom and American dad working in Japan

I honestly do not know. A bit more info below but core advice: don't worry about it now and keep making your plans to return (despite uncertainty about exactly when). My understanding is the following (partly from gcms notes from my own file): 1) I believe the sponsor approval is technical...

    Leaving Canada After Citizenship Application

Many in this forum suggest that a week buffer (seven or so days) is good. My view is that, if possible, PRs should have at least a full month extra in days credited toward meeting the 1095 days in five year requirement. This has been discussed in depth often and in many other topics. This is...

Proof of Funds - Study Permit

Did you write a SOP? LOE? When I had applied I mentioned all the reasons to why I chose my program, and why Canada. You already have a Bachelors, so VO might think you should go for a Masters. How long have you been in KSA? Now with regards to the property part you mentioned, it's not liquid...

Proof of Funds - Study Permit

Yes I did! The reasons were what I stated above. instability in Saudi Arabia so no intent to return. I showed less proof of funds before so they claimed that because employment is not permanent in the future, will run out of funds. Also claimed I’m more qualified than the course I want to do...

Sponsoring your spouse while outside of Canada

When is he finishing his studies? Intent to return requires quite a lot of proof because many haven’t actually relocated.

Sponsoring your spouse while outside of Canada

It's perfectly fine and not noticeably longer. Main thing is to show your intent to return to Canada. Read up on this a bit, you'll need to show where you intend to go and things like job and housing searches help. There is no formal amount required. Savings and ability and intent of both you...

MISSING TRANSLATION but hoping to send it as an addendum

Don't know about china/hk. Nor really processing times for China apps either, you should look at the tracker spreadsheets for this year and last. You've been married and I presume living together for several years, so should be quick analysis of your relationship (assuming documentation...

Outland Spousal Processing - Plan to move to Canada summer 2022 - when to file?

The typical way to demonstrate this is housing searches, job searches, getting qualifications recognised in Canada, support from family that they will assist (even informally) etc. I believe in your case (you posted separately?), there is a money and support issue. While you can also write a...

Outland Spousal Processing - Plan to move to Canada summer 2022 - when to file?

Apply as soon as you have your application in order, even if it's early. It will likely be completed before the time you have set in 2022. The only downsides to this approach are very minor - first, when his application is approved it will come with an expiry date, typically twelve months after...
