I don't have a receipt number (IMM 5401). I don't have anything from CIC yet. I am unable to check on line for anything. That's why I'm saying that I have not received not even an AOR.

@Alurra71 Thank You for your input. When we sent the application he was already on the Visitor extension. He had been here for over a year already as a visitor. He wasn't granted another (a 2nd) extension on his visitor visa. We had to wait a long time for our marriage certificate, as to why...

My sister needed to renew her PR card and she had to wait over 6 months after she sent the application. She did her application last summer (mid June) and last week the card came for her.

@mevisbleek He didn't need a Visa to enter Canada. He has European citizenship from Spain.
