many students from India have got visas without an interview. In some cases, they were given a call on their mobile, just to ask some questions. if you are using consultant, then he/she is just trying to scare you.

Students applying from India rarely get an interview. don't know much about your place.

I applied on 12th june at CVAC Chandigarh (university category, paper based) and my passport was dispatched on 30th June .
