If you apply for PR before your current workpermit expires, you can apply for a bridgingopenworkpermit and continue working under implied status while it is being processed.

I assume you applied under Express Entry?
Unfortunately you do not qualify for a BridgingOpenWorkPermit at this time. You will need to wait until you have less than four months remaining on your current workpermit. So this means you will qualify to apply sometime in October.
You want to continue to work for the new employer during PR processing. You are not eligible to apply for BOWP until you have AOR.
