Restoration of Status application and Interim Work Authorization Exemption

...I applied for restoration as worker Oct 5th 2020, they rejected my application ~ 6 weeks later saying i'm not eligible for bridging open work permit - same reason as scylla mentioned. My status expired on August 4th 2020, so I also applied for restoration as visitor on Nov 2nd 2020 - within...

    MPNP 2017

Hi, I know a friend who's employer did not get a call and his file got approved. It's completely at discretion of your case office whether he wants to call your employer and it's not obligatory for them to call. You'll be fine :)

    ***>>> January 2020 AOR <<<***

Use the below link to raise the web form and specifically ask for status of eligibility, security & criminality ( https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp) And you can also consider the option of applying for BOWP (Bridging open work permit) just recommended by another group member.

Applying for Canadian experience class with one month left on IEC

I would just add that, since the timeline for this is so tight, that you be ready to submit your eAPR right away, with PCCs, academic records, employment records from older work experience ( you should wait until you complete one year to get the letter of reference from your current employer)...

    RESTORATION REFUSED. PLEASE HELP NEEDED

If you are beyond the 90 days, there is no other option but to leave. Going to the border is not advisable, as you have been in Canada illegally for several months now.

Did you apply online for the BOWP? Because the online processing times are around 61 days at the time, so in that case you should see some response to the BOWP soon. I also applied on Apr 12th (WP valid until Apr 13). I tried to wait as long as possible since I didn't receive the AOR

Need advice! Bridging open work permit and extension

Hi, I got my AOR and applied for an extension of my open work permit (PGWP) via the bridging operational bulletin 485. However I was refused and they are now asking for an LMO from my employer. This doesn't make sense since I qualify for an Open work permit by the new law, and don't want to be...

What is the best way to prove physical presence in Canada when unemployed?

I am responding to this particular part of your queries first because waiting longer to apply, if that is a practical option (it is not for everyone), is often the best insurance the prospective applicant can buy. Waiting does not guarantee no RQ. But it can lower the risk a lot, and it can also...

Two Biometric letters, 1 for BOWP and 1 for EE ...

That is not correct, unless the biometrics were talen for a previous PR application. Biometrics for a Temporary reisdence application cannot be re-used for a PR application. However, the opposite is possible. Biometrics taken for PR applications can be used for TR applications.
