I am a July 2023 applicant and based on what I have read on our WhatsApp group, most people got their Oath invitation within 2 weeks after LPP. Though, there are exceptions (like myself) and some applications take way longer than others - so yes, it’s random.

that is what they are telling people when you call and everything is completed and all you are waiting on is oath ceremony. i was told that when i called a month after LPP was completed.

I still don't understand why there is not something like a national queue once applicants are done with LPP and offices attributing oath dates have to follow the ranking in their respective geographic zone. This is very unfair.

If you selected electronic certificate when you applied for citizenship, you will get it via email 2-5 business days after (some do get it as soon as the same day). I would keep your appt for now - good chance you’ll have what you need by then!
